1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Lokly app and website, operated by Kennon Dlima (“Lokly”, “we”, “us”). By using Lokly, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.

Lokly provides neighbourhood discovery, ways to contact businesses and members, free local listings, and community features such as the public forum. Features may vary by app version and availability. Contact us at kennondlima@gmail.com if you have questions.

2. Eligibility and your account

Provide accurate account information, use an account you are entitled to use, and keep access secure. Do not share sign-in codes, impersonate another person, or create accounts to evade moderation.

If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must give permission and complete any consent arrangements required by applicable law before you create or use an account. They should contact kennondlima@gmail.com first. Do not create an account until those arrangements have been confirmed. If local law sets additional age or capacity requirements, those requirements also apply.

Tell us promptly if your account may have been misused. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. We may take proportionate steps to verify access, investigate suspicious activity, or protect the service.

3. Discovery and contacting businesses

Lokly is a discovery and communication platform. Independent businesses and members are responsible for their goods, services, qualifications, descriptions, pricing, availability, and their agreements with you. A listing, recommendation or appearance in search is not a guarantee or endorsement by Lokly.

Confirm important details directly with the relevant business or member before relying on them. Business hours, prices, availability and contact information can change. Any transaction or arrangement you make directly with another party is between you and that party.

Do not assume that a profile or business has been verified unless a specific badge says so. Any badge has only the meaning explained for that badge; it is not a background check, safety guarantee, professional license, or guarantee of performance.

4. Free listings and business profiles

You may create the free listings supported by Lokly if you have the necessary rights and authority. You must accurately describe the item, property or business, use photos you have permission to use, and disclose material conditions. Do not publish someone else’s address or private contact details without authorization.

List only goods, property or services that can lawfully be offered. Do not list stolen or counterfeit goods, weapons or ammunition, tobacco or vaping products, illegal or controlled substances, sexual services, or anything that infringes rights or puts others at risk.

Keep availability, price and other details current. Remove or update listings that are no longer available. Listings can expire, require review, or be removed under our rules. Free listing access does not guarantee publication, a sale, enquiries, or a particular search position.

Business owners and managers must be authorized to represent the business. They are responsible for applicable licenses and the accuracy of public business information. Do not use access to customer messages for unsolicited marketing or unrelated purposes.

5. Community rules

Buzz is visible to the app’s community. Post only material you are entitled to share and be considerate of the people who may read it.

Do not post spam or repeated promotions; misinformation or unverified claims presented as fact; abusive language, hurtful comments, harassment, hate, threats, or discriminatory material; sexually explicit or exploitative content; scams; or other unlawful material.

Do not publish private information without permission, impersonate others, make unsupported accusations about identifiable people, infringe intellectual property, or use Lokly to stalk, intimidate or exploit anyone. Never share sexual content involving minors.

Do not scrape personal information, harvest member contacts, bypass access controls, distribute malicious code, or disrupt the service. Use approved app features rather than automated bulk messaging or account manipulation.

These rules apply across posts, comments, polls, profiles, photos, listings, groups and messages. Express disagreement respectfully and distinguish opinion from verified information.

6. Your content and our permission to use it

You keep ownership of the content you submit. You give Lokly a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, store, reproduce, resize, format and display that content as needed to operate the service, according to the audience and settings of the feature you use.

This permission also allows service providers acting for us to process content for service delivery, safety and moderation. It does not give us permission to sell your private messages to advertisers.

You confirm you have the rights and necessary permissions for your content, including permission from people whose personal information or images you share. Deleting content ends ordinary display, subject to backups, legal obligations, and limited safety records described in the Privacy policy. Copies made independently by others may remain outside our control.

7. Reports, moderation and restrictions

Use in-app reporting tools or email kennondlima@gmail.com to report harmful content or misuse. For an email report, include enough information to locate the content without sending unnecessary sensitive information. Do not submit deliberately false reports.

We may review reports, remove or limit content, request corrections, warn members, restrict features, suspend accounts, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect others, or comply with law. Restrictions may affect posting, commenting or other account activity. Repeated or serious violations can result in loss of access.

Moderation is not a promise that every contribution is reviewed before it appears or that we can detect every inaccurate or harmful statement. If you think a decision is wrong, email us with the relevant details so we can review it.

Reports to Lokly are for moderation of the service. They are not a report to law enforcement or a request for emergency assistance.

8. Messages, privacy and safety

Respect other members’ search, contact and messaging preferences. Turning off new incoming messages does not close existing chats or prevent replies to conversations the member starts. Blocking is separate and must not be bypassed.

Personal and business direct messages expire after seven days. Do not use Lokly as the sole record of important arrangements. Group history, posts and comments have different retention rules explained in the Privacy policy.

Do not send confidential documents, payment credentials or other highly sensitive information through the community features. Other participants may keep copies. Use care when meeting someone or making arrangements outside Lokly.

9. Groups, events and directory information

Follow each group’s applicable rules and access restrictions. Do not redistribute private-group content without permission. Event organisers are responsible for their event descriptions, permissions, venues and safety arrangements. Approval for publication is not a safety certification or endorsement.

Directory information and the in-app directory assistant help you find available local information. They are not professional advice. Confirm important details with the source. Lokly is not an emergency service; use official emergency channels when urgent help is needed.

10. Service availability and changes

We aim to keep Lokly useful and available, but interruptions, maintenance, errors and changes can occur. We may update features and rules, remove unsupported functionality, or discontinue the service, with notice where appropriate or legally required.

We do not promise uninterrupted access, that every listing will be accurate, or that using Lokly will produce a particular outcome. These terms do not remove any mandatory consumer or other rights you have under applicable law.

11. Responsibility and liability

Use reasonable care and independently assess listings, recommendations and people you contact. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Lokly is not responsible for the acts, goods, services or statements of independent members and businesses, or for indirect losses arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable rights relating to fraud, willful misconduct, or our own legally actionable failures. Any limitation applies only to the extent permitted by law.

12. Leaving Lokly

You can stop using Lokly at any time. To delete your account, use Me → Settings → Delete account. If you cannot access the app, contact kennondlima@gmail.com for help. Signing out or uninstalling does not delete your account.

Account deletion can also remove associated listings, content, businesses or groups, as explained in the deletion preview and Privacy policy. Rights and obligations that by their nature need to survive termination, such as lawful record retention and dispute resolution, continue as applicable.

13. Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India to the extent applicable, without removing mandatory protections that apply to you elsewhere. Courts and authorities with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes.

Please contact us first at kennondlima@gmail.com so we have an opportunity to resolve a concern. This does not prevent you from using any legal remedy available to you.

14. Updates and contact

We may revise these terms as the service or applicable requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice where required. If you do not agree with revised terms, stop using the service and contact us about closing your account.
